Watch: While You Were Away with Richard Herring and Rachel Stubbings

A short, darkly comic film starring comic actor Rachel Stubbings and comedian Richard Herring has just won the Audience Award at the ECU Film Festival in Paris.

The festival celebrates the very best independent filmmakers from around the world, and showcases films that demonstrate quality, innovation, and creativity.

Herring and Stubbings star as husband and wife in While You Were Away, a 5-minute black comedy in which Herring’s character Mark reveals what he has been up to while his partner was away with friends.

Herring tweeted that he was quite pleased with his contribution:

You can watch the whole film, written by Sundance nominated screenwriter Gabriel Miller and directed by BAFTA nominated director Ben Mallaby, below – or to find out more, visit the film’s Facebook page.

Our particular favourite line: “May I ask why?”
